A new fundraiser: zombie run!

Zombie Run to benefit Habitat for Humanity

One of the most unusual and exciting fundraising events is coming to Ottawa Saturday, Oct. 19 — the Zombie Run for Humanity. It takes place at the Nepean National Equestrian Park off Corkstown Road and features a rugged five-kilometre, cross-country obstacle course through woods and fields.

OTTAWA — Anna Duval clearly remembers the Thursday morning in 1998 when a fledgling organization called Habitat for Humanity handed over keys to her new home, a modest affair in Aylmer with three tiny bedrooms tucked into the basement.
